🎙️ TALKING TIGERS

He played basketball and football through high school north of Boston. As a student at Miami, he went with a friend to inquire about becoming a manager on the men’s basketball team. That was the starting point of the coaching career of Mike Burgomaster, Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Auburn Tigers. From a finance major at Miami to a full-time assistant coach on a pair of Final Four teams.

🔼  Hoops For Troops. It’s Military Appreciation Night at Neville Arena! The 22nd-ranked men’s basketball team will host Wofford tonight at 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+. Students in attendance will receive camo rally towels. Fun fact: Auburn head coach Steven Pearl and Wofford head coach Kevin Giltner were both named head coaches on Sept. 22 of this year. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2016.

🏀 Preview

🔼 Nation On Notice. Auburn guard Tahaad Pettiford was named Sporting News Preseason Third Team All-America! This honor is one of many Pettiford has received early this season. He has averaged 12 points through two games thus far.

🔼 Hot Shots. Auburn women’s basketball improved to 3-0 after beating UNC Greensboro 64-57! The Tigers made nine first-half 3-pointers to start strong. Mya Petticord led Auburn with 18 points and four 3s. Ja’Mia Harris scored 11 points and led the Tigers with seven rebounds. They’ll host Mississippi Valley State at 11 a.m. CT on Thursday.

🎥 Highlights

🔼 Weekend Roundup. Auburn baseball swept Kennesaw State in a doubleheader, winning 8-2 and 5-1. Todd Clay led the Tigers offensively, collecting three hits and driving in four runs, while the pitching staff allowed only three walks in 14 innings.

Impact Player. Auburn defensive lineman Keldric Faulk has been named a semifinalist for the prestigious Lott IMPACT Trophy! The award is presented to the top defensive player who has made the biggest impact on their team both on and off the field. Faulk, a team captain and All-American, has excelled on the field and made significant contributions to his community.
