This week on The Flight: the inspiring journey of Alex McPherson, an inside look at Auburn’s win over Arkansas and a breakout performance from Rayshawn Pleasant.

🔼 Tuned Up. No. 20 Auburn men’s basketball defeated Memphis 100-71 in an exhibition game in Atlanta, leading by 25 points at halftime. Auburn forced 23 turnovers, capitalizing on them for 33 points. Keyshawn Hall led Auburn with 20 points, while Kaden Magwood scored 15. Elyjah Freeman finished the night with four steals. The Tigers will officially start the regular season on Monday.

🔼  Preseason Praise. Auburn sophomore Tahaad Pettiford has been named to the NABC DI Player of the Year Watch List and Preseason All-SEC First Team by the league’s coaches! He earned SEC All-Freshman team honors last season after averaging 11.6 points per game and recording 113 assists.

🔼  Major Key. Tiger forward Keyshawn Hall has been named to the 2026 Karl Malone Award Preseason Watch List! The annual Karl Malone Award recognizes the top power forwards in DI men’s college basketball.

🔼  Another Trip To Texas. The third-ranked equestrian team is traveling to Texas for the third-straight meet. They’ll take on No. 7 TCU today at 10 a.m. CT. The Tigers enter the meet 2-1 after back-to-back meets decided by tiebreakers.

Tiger Trio. Three Tigers earned All-SEC soccer honors! Hayden Colson was named to the First Team, Erin Flurey was named to the Third Team and Lily Devereaux was named to the All-Freshman Team. The Tigers will play LSU in the opening round of the 2025 SEC Soccer Tournament on Sunday at 7 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
