🦅 THE FLIGHT

Auburn hosts Vanderbilt looking to bounce back on Homecoming and Coleman Granberry’s family leaves their mark on Tiger Walk.

🔼 Rocky Top Road Test. Auburn football takes its 3-1 record on the road tomorrow for a 2:30 p.m. CT matchup at No. 17 Tennessee on ESPN. It will be the Tigers’ first true road game of the season and the beginning of a stretch featuring four consecutive opponents currently ranked in the AP Top 20. The Tigers have won seven of their last eight meetings with Tennessee, including three consecutive games in Knoxville.

🔼 Paint The Town Orange. Auburn volleyball returns to Neville Arena tonight for an Orange Out match against No. 3 Kentucky. First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network+. There will be a foam finger giveaway, so show up early and wear orange!

The ranked competition continues on Sunday with the Tigers take on Tennessee at 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network+. This match will serve as the Student-Athlete Mental Health Awareness Match and there will be a jelly stress cube giveaway and a kids clinic.

🔼 Top-Five Tussle. No. 3 Auburn equestrian welcomes No. 5 SMU to the Auburn University Equestrian Center tomorrow morning. This will be Auburn’s first major ranked test of the season. Admission is free, and competition begins at 11 a.m. CT.

🔼 Upset Season. Auburn soccer upset No. 13 Tennessee 1-0, marking its first top-15 win since 2023 and head coach James Armstrong’s first ranked win at Auburn. The Tiger defense, leading the SEC with only three goals allowed this season, recorded their 10th shutout. Auburn’s next game is against No. 21 Oklahoma on Oct. 9th.

🔼 Major Impact. During Auburn’s Homecoming weekend, the Meagher family honored Bruce Pearl with the 2026 Jack Meagher Award. The award, presented since 2004, recognizes individuals with Auburn affiliation who have significantly contributed to society through athletics. Pearl was chosen for his on-court success and community service, including fundraising efforts and cancer initiatives.

Highest Honor. Former Auburn equestrian standout Caroline Fredenburg received the 2026 Leah Rawls Atkins Award, the highest honor presented to an Auburn senior woman student-athlete. The award recognizes excellence in academics and athletics while honoring leadership, integrity and courage. Fredenburg’s Auburn career was defined by excellence in and out of the arena. The four-time All-SEC equestrian standout earned 37 horsemanship wins and 11 MOP honors while graduating in biomedical sciences. She is taking that same drive into her next chapter as she works toward attending medical school.
