Talking Tigers - Brendt Bedsole
He has spent time as a walk-on on the Auburn Football team, a G.A. and now serves as the Director of High School Relations/Pro Football Liaison.

Brendt Bedsole played for Pat Dye, and has coached with Terry Bowden, Tommy Tuberville, Bryan Harsin and Hugh Freeze. In between, he spent time at Murray State, Samford and South Alabama—and that’s just his college career. Brendt Bedsole is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast.

🔼 Like He Never Left. For the fifth time of his career, Auburn All-American Johni Broome was selected as Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.

After missing the team’s last two games in conference play due to injury, the 6-foot-10, 240-pound senior forward/center led the top-ranked Tigers to a 53-51 win over No. 6 Tennessee at Neville Arena. He recorded a game-high 16 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and two steals versus the Volunteers. It marked his 71st career double-double performance.

🔼 Raising the Bar. The Auburn gymnastics team moved up to No. 11 in this week’s RoadToNationals.com rankings after putting together a season-high 197.025 last Friday.

The team is coming off another victory, defeating No. 9 Oregon State by .050 points. Auburn’s beam squad climbed up to No. 6 nationally with a 49.256 average following a season-best 49.450 vs. Oregon State. Bars moved up two slots to No. 11 (49.138), while floor is ranked No. 14 (49.163). Vault remains in the top 20 at No. 17 (49.056).

🔼 Par For the Course. Auburn sophomore Jackson Koivun made his second PGA Tour cut in his third career event over the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California. It was the first time in 55 years that two amateurs made the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open (Luke Clanton is the other amateur). Koivun finished tied for 56th overall at 6-over 294.

In more Auburn Golf news, congrats again to Jackson Koivun and Anna Davis for making the first-ever U.S. Elite Amateur Program roster. 👇🏼

🔼 No Sweat. The top-ranked Auburn equestrian team has welcomed 22 new faces to the squad in 2024-25 and it’s time to get to know them. Up next we have Isabel McGovern!

Q: Why Auburn?
A: “I chose Auburn because it is the only place in the country that has both a D1 equestrian team and offers industrial design as a major. I also really loved the atmosphere here.”

Q: Coming from California, what surprised you the most living in the South?
A: “I think it was the humidity. I’ve never lived in a humid environment before, and it was definitely an adjustment.”
