The Flight - Men's Basketball (S. 2, Ep. 2)
We take a look back as Auburn starts SEC play, Bruce Pearl looks to make history and the No. 1 ranking is on the line.
🔼 Etched in History. Dr. Gregg Carr, an All-America linebacker at Auburn in the early 1980s, has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Former Auburn two-sport athlete and assistant football coach Larry Blakeney is also part of the Class of 2025, honored for his 24-season head coaching career at Troy University.
The 18 First Team All-America players and four standout coaches in the 2025 Class were selected from the national ballot of 77 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 101 players and 34 coaches from the divisional ranks.
The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will officially be inducted during the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner.
🔼 Left It All On the Court. Mar’Shaun Bostic and DeYona Gaston combined for 36 points and Auburn started and finished strong, but No. 7 Texas won 74-57 Thursday at Neville Arena in the programs’ first SEC meeting.
“Our kids battled,” Auburn coach Johnnie Harris said. “In the second half, we went to the zone and I thought they did a good job of executing it. I saw some toughness out of my team that I like going forward”
