Auburn Men's Golf vaults Vanderbilt on Sunday to become the 2024 SEC champs!
Good Morning, Auburn Family. In a match between college golf's top teams, No. 1 Auburn grabbed an early lead and never let up, defeating No. 2 Vanderbilt 3-2 to win the 2024 SEC Championship Sunday at Sea Island Golf Club. The SEC title is Auburn's fifth in program history and first since Wells Padgett's 20-foot walk-off birdie putt on the same course in 2018.
"Wow, what a week," said Auburn coach Nick Clinard. "Match play is so difficult, especially when you're playing teams that have some of the best players in the world. We got on them early and we stayed there; we hung tough."

๐ผ Living the Dream. The moment. There's nothing like it: when you get that phone call from an NFL general manager or head coach. When you hear your name called during the NFL Draft. It's a dream that almost every player has worked for their whole life.
It's no different at Auburn, where at least one player has been selected in each of the last 20 NFL drafts. Last year, five former Tigers got that life-changing call. Who will be next?

๐ผ A Dish Served Perfectly. Auburn jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, and the bullpen buckled down late in a 7-5 win in the series finale at LSU Sunday afternoon. Auburn's 13 hits were the most in a league game since recording a season-high 17 hits in the series finale at Texas A&M on March 30.
The Tigers return home to take on Ole Miss (23-20, 7-14 SEC) Friday through Sunday at Plainsman Park.

๐ผ Swing and Ye Ole Miss. Auburn softball (25-17-1, 7-14 SEC) held a 2-1 lead in the third inning, but Ole Miss (28-23, 5-16 SEC) scored six unanswered runs to win Sunday's series finale 7-2 at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
Auburn returns to Jane B. Moore Field to host No. 17 Alabama in the regular-season finale. The series begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

๐ ONE BIG THING
Shanks a Million. Actually, no shanks (or yips!) were present when the Auburn Tigers punched their ticket to the SEC Championship! Auburn men's golf had a marathon of a Saturday that included a gutsy 3-2 win over No. 9 Alabama and a dominant 4-1 win over No. 11 Arkansas in the tournament's respective quarterfinal and semifinal matches at Seaside Golf Club.
