Good Morning, Auburn Family. Yes, football is starting this Saturday and we couldn’t be more stoked, but there’s another kind of football to put on your radar. Okay, okay, it typically goes by soccer.

We’re only three matches into the 2024 season, and the Tigers have outscored their opponents 13-0. This is just the third time in program history and the first time since 2015 that Auburn Soccer has begun the year with three consecutive shutout victories.

We have finally reached game week! Auburn Football will host Alabama A&M in the season opener on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT. Auburn Sports Network coverage begins at 3:30 with the Tiger Tailgate Show, presented by Conecuh Sausage. There are many gameday enhancements in and surrounding Auburn home football games this season.

🔼 Hard Knox D. After leading the Tigers’ defense to a dominant, two-shutout weekend at home, Auburn soccer senior LJ Knox was voted the Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Knox and the Auburn backline surrendered zero goals and just two shots over 180 minutes of competition. Neither of the conceded shots was placed on frame.

🔼 Auburn Golf Goodness Continues. Auburn men’s golf assistant coach Chris Williams was named the recipient of the 2024 Jan Strickland Outstanding Assistant Coach Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Monday. 

Williams is just the third coach from the SEC to win the award since 2016. He joins Corey Maggard (2018) as Auburn’s second awardee. Head Coach Nick Clinard was announced as the Dave Williams DI National Coach of the Year earlier this summer. 

Williams returns for season four on the Auburn coaching staff as the Tigers look to open the year with an eighth consecutive win at the Inverness Intercollegiate, set for Sept. 9-10.
